Zaiden is now 2 1/2 months and he had his checkup yesterday. He is growing like a weed and becoming quite the little chunk. He now weighs 12 lbs 8 oz and is 24 inches long. The doctor said he looks fantastic and is quite strong for his age.

He is doing great, only waking up once in the night and has been for at least the past month. I had to stop eating dairy and now he much happier.

I also recently had to go back to work, SO HARD. But he is in good hands with his Aunt Sarah and spending his days with his cousin Kai, so its much harder on me than him.

2 Week Checkup

We took Zaiden for his two week checkup yesterday, the doctor says he looks great. Zaiden obviously takes after his dad in how much he likes to eat because he now weighs 7 lb 14 oz, he has already gained 1 lb 6 oz. Here are some updated pictures of the little man.

Zaiden is finally here. He is so adorable, and we are so in love with him. He melts my heart everytime I look at him.

Here is a little summary of how the delivery went. I had lost hope that he was going to come early or even on time and thought he would be here late but he surprised us and came a day early. I had been out shopping with my mom on Saturday morning and then took the dogs on a walk, throughout the walk I had begun feeling slight pains, but didn't think much of it. Once I got home they continued and became more and more uncomfortable. Danny didn't think it was really the start of labor and neither did I. But after a couple more hours of contractions at home, and I could not take the pain anymore we decided to go to the hospital. I was in so much pain, but did not want to get there and have them send me home. We got to the hospital around 4:30 on Saturday, and they decided to keep me and gave me the epidural right away, I felt SO much better after that. I had to have antibiotics for four hours before I delivered so we just waited for time to pass. The doctor then came in and broke my water and I started pushing. We had a slight scare with his heart beat dropping they were going to do a c-section, but it came back up, and after an hour of pushing he was here.
He arrived at 10:31 pm, weighing 6 lbs and 8 oz, 20.5 inches long. Here are some pictures so far:

We were finally in our room about 1 am, it had been an exhausting day, but I still did not sleep very well. We both could not believe that he was actually here and he was ours.

We spent two nights in the hosptial, and the second night he slept in the nursery so we could try and get some sleep, and they brought him to me when he was hungry. It was very nice to get some rest before we came home.

Here he is Monday morning for his first car ride and heading home.
Things have been going pretty good at home as we are adjusting to our new lives as parents, Danny has had the week off of work and it has been so nice to have him home with me.

We have had to go back to the hospital the past three days to get his blood drawn because his billirubin level was a little elevated, but just got word that everything is good now and he doesn't have to go for photo therapy or get his blood drawn anymore.

Almost Time

Well time has gone by so fast lately. I had baby showers for Baby Z, Thanksgiving, a new nephew, my birthday and now Christmas is about here plus I am about two weeks away from my due date, so I wanted to finally update my blog.

Brynn gave me and Zaiden a shower with some of my friends and we had a great time except I forgot to take any pictures. Then my mom also gave me a shower for my family, so thank you to everyone that came to my showers and for all the great stuff we got for Zaiden.

This year for Thanksgiving, my parents were out of town so I cooked my first dinner, we had my sister and her family over and Johnny and Sara, along with my cousin and aunt. Dinner actually went really well and we had a good time.

We also have another new nephew Kain Quinlan, who was almost born on my birthday but ended up just a couple hours before. I love the fact that there will be three little boys in the family all within four months of each other.

Now we just have Christmas to look forward too, I haven't done any shopping so I am little behind. But we do have everything we need for Zaiden and are so anxious for him to get here, we were hoping he might surprise us and come early but its not looking like it will happen. I am not progressing and all. Thats all for now.

Brody Briton

We now have a nephew from my side of the family. My sister had her baby, Brody Briton on September 21st, he was 6 lbs 6 oz and 20.5". Lex and him are doing great, and everybody is enjoying having a baby in the family. It makes us excited and anxious for our little guy to arrive in three months.

Life So Far...

Wow, so its been a long time since I updated this blog.

So the first big news is that we ARE PREGNANT!!!! Right now I am almost 17 weeks, an due on January 3rd. We decided to go to Fetal Fotos cause I couldn't wait any longer to find out the sex. And we are having a BOY!!!!!!!

Our family will be full of little boys. My cousin has her two boys, my sister is having Brody in September and Danny's brother is having a boy in December and then ours in January.

We also celebrated our one year wedding anniversary on July 12th. We went for a drive up the canyon and on a hike up Donut Falls. It has been a great year, with many more to come. I love you babe!

My cousin, Lisa and her husband Preston, were able to adopt a baby boy at the end of May. His name is Perry. He is almost two months old now, and gets cuter everyday. We are so lucky to have him in our family, we love him very much. Here are some pictures the day after they brought him home.

We also recently golfed in my work Golf Tournament. I hadn't golfed in at least ten years, and this was Danny's first time. We also golfed with Lindsee, who I work with, and her husband Scott. We had a lot of fun and didn't come in last, thanks to Scott.

Finally a Update

I know it has been awhile since I posted but nothing new has been going on until recently. First of all I am excited to have a nephew from my side of the family, my sister and Gavin are having a boy in September. Danny's sister is also pregnant again so we will be having another niece/nephew in June.

Shylo is growing up so fast and getting so big, she is now four months old. Although she is a handful because she is always hyper she is alot of fun, she absoultely loves Danny.

Recently we went to Philadelphia to spend some time with Danny's mom. Johnny and his girlfriend Sarah also went with us. I had never been there so it was nice to get to go and we loved spending time there. I tried a Philly Cheesesteak and suprisingly I loved it. I had three of them while we were there. And Danny couldn't get enough of his mom's cooking.

I wanted to see the tourist spots even though they had all been there before, so we went to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall

New Addition

We got a new addition to our family this past weekend, a new puppy. My sisters dogs had puppies and we decided we wanted one, her name is Shylo and she is so cute. Her and Bogee are getting along great, although he is a still a little unsure about her sometimes but we just make sure to give him plenty of attention still and he will adjust.

Its a little late but here is an update from our holidays. Christmas Eve was spent with Teresa and her family, exchanging gifts and playing games.

Christmas morning we had Lex, Gavin and Johnny at my parents to exchange gifts. Danny loved his subwoofers, and I was excited for my new jeans and we both love our new TV from my parents. I think Danny was most excited to give my dad the keys to his 1977 MG Convertible restored and up and running, he worked really hard on getting it in good condition and couldn't wait to give it to him. My dad loved it but can't get much use out of it in this weather. We then had my Aunt Kathy and her family over for breakfast.

Christmas evening we braved the snow storm and went to enjoy some drinks with friends.

I don't have any pictures from New Years but we had a great night out at Pearl, seeing Johnny DJ and ringing in the new year, heres to 2009, and hope its a wonderful year ahead.

Our holidays ended with the Sugar Bowl, we watched the great game at Johnny's with great food and friends. And the Utes absolutely killed Bama, it was one of the funnest games to watch. GO UTES 13-0 - perfect Season.

My parents dog Keela that they have had since I was 11 passed away in my lap on Sunday. Keke was the sweetest dog in the world, and the most well behaved of all the dogs we have had. Keela hated being outside and preferred to be inside with us except for her walks, she loved going on walks and wanted to go on them all the time even as she got older and wasn't doing as well. She lived to be 15 and I guess it was her time to go. She will be missed, Sadie is very sad without her around and hasn't been herself the last couple days. I love you KeKe and miss you so much.

Back to the Snow!!

We made it back from our honeymoon just in time for all the snow. We had an amazing trip spending two days in San Diego and going to Sea World which we absolutely loved. Then on to our cruise, the ship was so fun and we met some great people to spend time with. Danny also surprised me with the watch I have been wanting for my birthday. We then spent my birthday in Cabo, where we went snorkeling and shopping. We also got to old a baby tiger and lion, that was awesome. We also went to Ensenda where we went on a drive up the coast and saw some beautiful sights and had lunch at a great Mexican restaurant. When we got back to San Diego we got stuck at the airport for a few hours because flights were stuck in Salt Lake in the snow, but we finally made it home and have been busy getting ready for Christmas, getting our shopping done and both our work parties are this weekend. I will post pictures from our trip soon.

Thanksgiving Weekend

I didn't get any pictures over the weekend. But we had a wonderful Thanksgiving we went to my aunt and uncles on Thanksgiving and saw everyone on my mom's family it was a great time, and we are so thankful to have some family close by, we only wish Danny's family wasn't so far away. My mom also cooked on Sunday and we had Johnny over for a delicious dinner.

Went out shopping on Black Friday and ended up with a new mattress, it is so comfortable, I never realized how uncomfortable our mattress was before until we got this one. We also went to see Four Christmases, which was a pretty good Holiday movie. And we did a lot of relaxing, which was so nice not to work for four days and spend everyday together. We are looking forward to our trip leaving in four days and we cannot wait.

On Saturday we went to the Utah/Byu Football game and had so much fun. My parents gave us their extra tickets and we were so glad we got to go, I haven't been up there to the games since I was little and went with my dad all the time. And even better the Utes killed BYU, it was an awesome game and so much fun to be there and it wasn't even too cold. Now its on to the BCS. Go UTES!!!

So after seven years and switching my major three times I finally graduated this past May with a degree in Accounting. I may go back to get my Masters sometime, but as of now I am just enjoying not being in school.
